Isn't it amazing how social media facilitates days like today when the news evolves/breaks so fast

that you can get whiplash watching it all unfold! I am trying so hard to get away from this damn laptop, but the past hour spent on Twitter, DU, TPM - and following the links that took me here and there - just breathtaking.

And it also reminds of the "fog of breaking news" - you see things quickly reported, then amended/corrected - the Boston Globe scoop - then an admission that they didn't credit the break properly. The Sandusky/Paterno story, the Mittens Bain SEC Story - just think back even 5 years and consider how different the pace would be.

And...you can just feel the old, creaky, outdated MSM's frustration with how obsolete they have become!

And once again it is clear that DU is such a great clearinghouse for collecting everything worthwhile that is happening around us...I see many DU links/threads brought to Twitter and vice versa. It does make one's head spin!

Some days are pretty interesting indeed...now out to pick tomatoes!

tomato off my plant yesterday!
It was sooo yummy... it tasted like candy!
It reminds me what tomatoes are supposed to taste like and why I can't eat store bought tomatoes anymore!!!

Because the big 3 networks did not even touch this story. At least not that I could see, unless I missed it somehow. I was flipping back and forth, expecting to find something.

I only have basic package cable, but I hope that at least MSNBC or CNN covered it. Hopefully much of the print media will too by tomorrow.
