Kushner's e-mail ("Can u pls call me on my cell? Need excuse to get out of meeting.") is a lie!

This concerns the Donald Junior meeting last year on June 9th with the Russian attorney et al.

The first sentence uses abbreviations and has no excess other than "pls."

The second was added later to give context and credibility to the Senate committee.

If he had contacted his assistant with this request several times in the past, which is more than likely, he wouldn't need an explanation. It would seems stupid, useless. Not worth the time to type.

Therefore, this morning he likely lied to congress. They should check this e-mail to see if it was edited.

lie so much and seem to be so comfortable with lying, so used to lying, so accustomed to getting away with lying, they get sloppy. i fervently hope it brings them all the way down.

Even "help!" would have been sufficient, it seems to me. The wording, explaining that he needs to get out of the meeting, is there for the benefit of investigators and was added later--there was no need to *explain* to his assistant.

You look at your phone intently for a moment. "If you'll all excuse me, I need to attend to an important matter. Nice meeting you. Exeunt."

Adults don't need a fake excuse to leave a meeting, they just get up and go. He was one of the most powerful figures in Trump's inner circle, but now he wants everyone to believe he was some simpering, lackluster flunky that need to find a plausible excuse to leave the room. Maybe he should have raised his hand and said he needed to go pee-pee.

Was it really necessary to go sexist on this? Aren't members of both genders often lacking in self-confidence as kids?

Watching his mannerisms, the stock parody character he tries to portray by making himself seem like a non-threatening, innocent character, a nice little rich kid in an expensive suit, talking like buttah wouldn't melt in his mouth. Girlish behavior is not bound by gender any more than masculinity is, because that would indeed be sexist, yeah?

Don't be ridiculous.

Sexism demeans women and girls. Any negative comparison to women or girls is sexist. You're denigrating Kushner by comparing him to a young female but to do that you have to demean the young female. That's sexist. And unnecessary.

If you had some comparison to a young girl that wasn't derogatory, then you might have a point. The derogatory and stereotypical nature of your comparison eradicates that possibility.

That wouldn't have been sexist, and would have been simpler.

Instead you implied that teenage girls are less mature than teenage boys.
