I'm no fan of McCain, but I've seen him step up and do the right thing from time to time.

I have a strong feeling he will fly back and vote "NO" on this vote tomorrow. He knows right from wrong and shows his patriotism when necessary, but I don't think he likes any part of what this POTUS is doing to our country and will do his part in knocking him down...if he votes No, Graham will follow.

After all, McCain is probably jeopardizing what health he has to work with by flying. I've heard it isn't a good mix - flying and brain cancer. That may be an old wives' tale, but I sure wouldn't take the chance for this drip that sits in the Oval Office.

I've watched him since the 1980s. I always found his claims of being a "maverick" to be ridiculous.

He likes to act like the big man around town, but he's not.

I FULLY expect him to vote to proceed with this atrocity. If he does, I'll be counting the hours until he, himself, is dead, as he will be responsible for the deaths of thousands.

Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but I certainly have NO faith that he'll suddenly decide to DO the right thing rather than mewl and prattle about it as he normally does.

I also can't believe that John McCain and Lyndsay Graham are not bothered by how Trump uses the men and women of the Military as his prop whenever he needs to, while having avoided the draft with all those deferments himself. He also shows such disdain for the entire Intelligence Community while continuously threatening to use military force to prove how tough he is, though it wouldn't be his behind, or his child's behind, that is out there in harms way. I also think it has got to bother McCain that Trump has proven to be Putin's bitch and is willing to sell out this nation to keep whatever secret agreements and relationships he has with Putin and the Russians, secret?

If McCain came all the way back simply to cast a vote for a bad bill, I'd be very disappointed. At his age, he is cementing his legacy in stone. Is passing a bad health care bill that will gut Medicaid, and will leave more than 25 million people without health care coverage to be his Waterloo? Is that the hill McCain wants to stake his legacy to? I hope not, but we will know soon enough.

to show courage and save millions of lives, now that he knows what's it like to have yours on the line and dependent on quality healthcare. If you know any Republicans who feel that way, it's important for them to contact him and say so, too. If he arrives in DC to millions of emails and phone messages, just maybe he'll think twice before casting his vote.

I agree that it's likely he will vote yes, if he's going to the trouble to fly back.

Or love for their country. Then he put Palin on his ticket and took a chance that he would be elected then have to leave office, making Palin president. That wasn't courage, that was taking a longshot hail mary type desperate measure that could have put a moron one heart beat from the"nucular" codes.

He started looking more like a maverick when he became a never Trumper. But he follows along with everything drumpf wants. I have no faith that McCain will do the right thing regarding the health care vote.

McCain's idea of being a hero is flying in to support his commander in chief (that would be McTurtle, not Trump).

His real attitude in private will be, "no one came to help me while I was suffering as a POW. Why the hell should I help out anybody now?"

Don't forget--his version of patriotism is bombing civilians from a plane. That's about how much he'll be caring about the civilians he'd be bombing if he backs McTurtle up.
