Republicans are great at framing issues and making up catchy slogans. Today's Democrats are terrible at it.
Obama used phrases like "Yes We Can," and "Change We Can Believe In." Somehow, "A Better Deal" just doesn't cut it.
Republicans constantly sell garbage, but they always know how to package it behind an attractive phrase. Democrats actually stand for things that help people and make the country a better place. But it needs a catchy headline that gets it across to the masses.
How about something like "Reach For The Stars," or "Uniting America." People need to hear something inspiring and aspirational.
Let's hear your ideas. Hopefully, the powers that be in the Democratic Party will find "A Better Slogan."

(16,245 posts)I know the Democrats are trying to remind people of The New Deal and A Fair Deal (Truman), it will only remind people of The Art of The Deal and will be easily converted to a "Raw Deal."

(9,934 posts)I am not a fan of slogans, but this one seems very easy for Trump and his ill ilk to ridicule. Why go for "better" when you can have the "best"? What really matters is what is in the plan, and that is what needs to be highlighted and promoted.

(13,305 posts)...I'm sure some firmly entrenched and well connected consulting firm got paid a shit ton of money to come up with it.
My suggestions:
"Not as bad"
"Waiting for the other guy to do or say something stupid"
"Is it polling well yet?"
"Waiting until it's safe to come out"
"Remember how we used to support unions?"
