Scott Paterno, still an asshole

This guy has spent his entire life riding on the coattails of his famous dad. He was a slacker in college but thanks to his dad's connections he was able to get into law school. He really didn't do much with his degree except a few lame attempts at running for political office (as GOP of course). So of course Scott Paterno stands up for the rights of pedophilia enablers and not of the victims!

Paterno son: Joe took no part in abuse cover-up


SCRANTON, Pa. — Joe Paterno's son denies the late coach took part in a cover-up of child sex abuse, saying his father never attempted to conceal reports of abuse by longtime assistant Jerry Sandusky.

Scott Paterno says the family is planning more lengthy response later to the internal investigation report released Thursday by former FBI director Louis Freeh.


The family also released a statement in which it said Sandusky was a "great deceiver" who fooled Paterno and administrators alike.

Scott Paterno disputed that assertion, saying the family's reading of the report is there's no evidence his father was part of a cover up.

I appreciate that Scott wants to do all he can to protect his dad but really? JoePa KNEW and didn't tell anyone and that lasted for THIRTEEN years. Clearly he was a part of the coverup. Scott could have said something classy like 'Dad thought he was doing what was in the best interest of everyone blah blah blah.' But Sandusky was found guilty and we know that Joe Paterno didn't tell anyone until after the scandal broke last year.

If you know someone is molesting children and do not report it - you are just as guilty!
