I'm afraid to look at the news.
Every morning I peruse my fave sites, including DU, and get the temperature of the day.
It's blusteringly hot right now. Blood pressure through the roof.

If anything important happens you will hear the scuttlebut. All of us need some separation from this crap now and then. It wears on the nerves and is not good for blood pressure. I am on several kinds of medication for my blood pressure and FINALLY started having consistently good readings. Even in my doctor's office this morning....where it typically jumps up due to a White Coat Syndrome. 124/58!!! Hallelujah!
So take care of yourself. Read a book, take a walk, allow yourself a nice nap, bake some fresh bread, work with clay, watch a good movie. But let this political stuff take care of itself for a while. The minutes we invest in this won't magically come back. So we need balance in our lives. Do what you can, when you can. But don't let your life get consumed with this. I am speaking as much to myself as I am to anyone who reads this. 
Whether we comment on every thread here or just scroll by won't change this crazy world. Be informed, get involved but find time to relax and take a break! 
But why was DU's home page smothered in Twitler bad behavior while the vital health care vote was taken? This is a board for Democrats, yet seems to be falling under the spell of the Con Man.
