If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.
He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.
Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.
The victor will never be asked if he told the truth.
Words build bridges into unexplored regions.
Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future.
I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few.
All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.

(18,571 posts)In the first 6 months of gaining power he convinced the Parliament to allow him to decree laws without their input. He also outlawed all parties except the Nazi party. He was driven in an single minded way to grab total control over Germany.
Trump, on the other hand, simply wants his ego stroked. He is not a shrewd plotter. He's a self centered, clownish, con man. He doesn't want to make all the decisions for the country the way Hitler did. He wants others to do the hard work while he golfs, basks in the adoration of followers and hears a constant stream of sweet nothings from subordinates. Real nothings.
Thank God he's not a Hitler because if he was, America would gone within a year.

(18,571 posts)Hitler was an amazingly charismatic speaker. It was one of his unique talents. He realized this about himself early on.
He gained a lot of support from the populace because of this, so Hindenburg, the president, appointed him chancellor so as to gain support from Hitler's many followers and to be able to keep an eye on him.
After the Reichstag fire, (Germany's 911 incident), which was blamed on the communists, (but may have been engineered by Nazis) an emergency decree which suspended civil liberties was ordered. This was constitutional as it was intended to be a temporary, emergency measure, similar to our martial law. Under Hitler, though, it was never rescinded until after WWII.
