Times poll: Floridians still oppose federal health care law

majority of Florida voters oppose the national health care law and half want it repealed, a new Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald/Bay News 9 poll shows two weeks after President Barack Obama's signature achievement was largely upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Only 43 percent of voters statewide support the Affordable Care Act and 52 percent oppose it, with 5 percent undecided. With the exception of southeast Florida, more voters think the law will make the health care system worse.

More voters also favor the state opting out of provisions of the law, something Gov. Rick Scott has already said it would do.

...let's discuss the provisions of the ACA on an individual basis. Even the sheepish people down here in FL would be in favor of it. We need Howard Dean on the case down here. STAT!

Perplexing. Is the media there more winger than most? I don't know, but I notice a real difference in the way the "trusted" local news presents things from Boise, Portland (OR), Phoenix, where I've watched similar topics brought up over the past few years, and boy there's definitely a lot of subtle crap that goes on to lead the populace. Even the local papers, though dwindling, control with headlines and stuff. Just curious if there are any honest media outlets in FL. How else could almost an entire populace be so mislead? It boggles the mind, and FL not the only nutty state, it just makes no sense. Ignorance is king and I guess TX's Rep platform certainly exposes the purpose of encouraging such.

They want sheep.

Florida voters, who I hear are heavily weighted with age of old-timers, would be upset about a Medicare cut.

I think we need someone to explain, even to me I guess, about how the Medicare cuts, and the closing of the donut compare? Are they even relatable? Hell, I have to admint, I've not personally laid eyes on how those over 65 are affected. We should know for FL. Hell, I should know. I've been focused on the Medicaid aspect and the mandate. Well, I guess I better go find out. I can't think of one source of the many I browse and watch really discuss the Medicare aspect of the bill.
