My prediction: Trump vetoes the Russian sanctions bill. Cites Syria and terrorism as reason.

Of course that's not the actual reason he vetoes the bill. We all know the real reason he vetoes the bill.

But at this point, I think he thinks that the Republicans in Congress will not actually do anything about him with Russia. And maybe he's right about that, and maybe he's wrong.

The fact that the bill passed nearly unanimously on a bipartisan basis will have no effect on him whatsoever. The vote count to him is completely irrelevant. He's convinced himself that he's untouchable on the matter and I don't think he's going to let anyone talk him down.

The thing about Trump and Russia is that there's a duality of thinking on Trump's behalf. I wouldn't call it a delusion because I think he knows the truth but he has no use for the truth, so he just creates an alternate truth to operate on for his own survival. He knows about the interactions between Russian and his staff, and his son-in-law, and his son. He knows how much Russian money he's been beholden to over the years. He knows about whatever happened when he visited Moscow in 2013. He knows about what the Russians did in cyberspace to assist him during the campaign. He knows about what he's said to Putin and the Russians and what they've said to him.

He knows all that, and hasn't convinced himself that it didn't happen. But he's so narcissistically wrapped up in himself that he'll just discard all of that because he thinks he'll survive anything, no matter how brazen it seems to us.

So if he thinks continuing to play ball with the Russians is the best chance for his own survival, and not playing ball with them could threaten him, he's going to do just that. At this point he's still more scared of the consequences of pissing off Putin than pissing off the American people.

He didn't disrespect Putin, Congress did, so therefore he thinks he's safe with Vlad.

I think this is only for show. The House and Senate GOP knows it will be vetoed and then will then the Senate will not undo the veto.

This is all a plan for them to seem like they are being tough on Trump and Russia all the while they are giving them a pass.

Lift them. Gotta doublecheck but I believe it eas commerce- and not SOS. Which makes sense since Tillerson is walking backwards out of this shit.

And may lead to trade retaliation

And I think it violates the Iran deal

When everyone in congress agrees on a bill it may mean it's horrible?
