Why wouldn't Sessions offer to resign? Or did he?

I can't imagine being Sessions, loyal fan of Trump, hearing that Trump wants him out and then not calling up Don and saying "Hey, if you want me gone, I'm gone."

I can see refusing to offer a resignation if you hate your boss. If you think "I can do all the things I want to do from this position and I'm going to stay as long as I can". But if you like your boss, you offer to resign. I would.

So, I think Sessions offered to resign and Trump said "no no no" and this is all theater. God only knows why Trump or both of them think this is a good thing to do.

It might be he sees something really fucked up about Red Don but he's in the thick of it too ... he has every reason to want the investigation not to go on.

I doubt its for love of country ... the KGOP hasn't acted in America's best interest sense ... well, a long damn time IMHO

He wouldn't be the first employee to watch and wait as his crazy boss self-destructs. I'll bet Sessions and Pence are having lots of quiet meetings.

If my boss was dissing me and I liked my boss I'd offer to resign out of loyalty to my boss "If me going will make your job easier, I'm outta here".

We're being played and so is the media. MSNBC spends too much time treating this as if it was something real. It's all for show

Putin knows what it is.

I think it is money from Russia and something to do with underage girls.

I read an article before the election about his modeling agency.

If half the article was true Trump liked them young.

Putin would know this.

He's narcisstic as hell. Why would he resign? He has the job he has dreamed of his whole life. He has the ability to rollback every civil rights, affirmative action, voting rights law ever passed. Why would he quit? Loyalty is as one sided for him as it is for Twitler. They so deserve each other.

Sessions is working on the anti-immigration bullshit - right now he's undermining sanctuary cities.

It's clear that Congress and Sessions know that Trump is a weak blowhard whose blithering bluster provides a highly effective smoke screen so they can work on enriching themselves and their wealthy benefactors while screwing over everyone else.

The Senate already passed the rule against recess appointments.

Trump's usefulness is wearing out though, so if they pass an actual repeal of ACA, watch them really start turning on Trump.
