I was surprised by how kind Future President Hatch's statement was. THAT is what surprised me so much. Especially the part you edited out, where he said transgendered folks are born that way.

(7,615 posts)he said outright and with emotion that transgender people did not choose and were born that way. They deserve the best we can do for them. I noticed him wiping his eye when saying it. I wonder if he has a close relative who is lgbt and it got to him.
