Rs are activly destroying Obamacare, and they want to destroy all healthcare for all but the rich

Why are Ds not pointing out this simple truth?

The ONLY reason that Obamacare is "failing" is because Republicans have actively and aggressively refused to fund the cost-sharing mechanisms in the ACA. By refusing to partially compensate health insurers for possible losses they face in taking on riskier patients, Republicans are forcing insurance companies to drop out of the program to save their corporate skins. Any government-assisted program is going to fail if the assistance is withheld. The damn Congress would fail if the members were not paid, as would the military if funds were withheld from their operations.

In addition, by refusing to open exchanges in their own states, R Governors/legislatures are causing the entire "there's only one insurer left in our state" problem.

Ds need to point out that the "problems" with Obamacare are not problems created by the legislation. They are problems created solely by Rs trying to destroy the legislation. If Rs are successful in killing Obamacare, the next move will be to make healthcare an elitist privilege in this country, available only to the rich, with everyone else forced to pay top dollar for any services they might need.

MOST people receive, and will continue to receive, healthcare through their employers, and were never affected by ACA.

of longterm care, ability for kids to stay on a parent's plan until 26, basic healthcare mandates, etc.

Your not knowing the above is yet more proof that Ds did a lousy job of promoting the ACA. They would have been much better off touting the advantages the ACA brought to those getting insurance thru their job than harping about how many previously uninsured people were able to get insurance.
