4. There's a big difference to 9/11 and the Iraq-war:

GWB was basically a clean slate and 9/11 was a first-of-its-kind scenario.

Meanwhile, Trump has decades of dirt attached to his persona and he is connected to several ongoing crises and scandals.
And 9/11 and the Iraq-war have taught the american people how ridiculous and damaging blind patriotism is. ("Freedom Fries!" "Get a brain, morans!" )

If a war were to break out (Syria shooting down an american plane or NK pulling some shit), it would only harden the political climate in the US:
Those who love Trump would love him even more.
Those who hate him would hate him even more.



And as Trump's administration is a madhouse of backstabbing and incompetence (and he's prone to just wandering off mentally), I'm not sure whether even the national-security-hawks would side with him. Even in a time of war.

War would just crank the questions about his mental capacities up to 11.
