Woman who threatened to 'kill all of ya' Somali Americans will be fired

FARGO — A white woman from Mapleton, N.D., who was recorded Tuesday, July 25, threatening a group of three Muslim women in the Walmart parking lot on 13th Avenue South, telling them to "go home" and that she would kill them, will lose her job.

“Whenever she gets here, she will be let go.” said a person at Fargo accounting firm Horab and Wentz, who would only identify himself as one of the firm's partners on Wednesday, July 26.

The man said of Amber Elizabeth Hensley: “Her views are not ours." A couple phones could be heard ringing in the background.


“Our phone has been ringing this morning hundreds of times. It’s ringing right now,” the man said. “We’re the ones getting the brunt of this. No one else is.”

FARGO –– The anti-Muslim tirade by an enraged white woman toward three Somali-American women in a Walmart parking lot earlier this week has ended in reconciliation.

Fargo Police Chief David Todd posted a picture Thursday, July 27, of Amber Elizabeth Hensley, Mapleton, N.D., and two of the Somali-American women hugging at the police department. Two days earlier, Hensley was yelling at the women, “We’re going to kill all ya….We’re going to kill every single one of you (expletive) Muslims.”

“The incident that happened at the Walmart parking lot and then went viral on social media shows we have some things to work on as a community and as individuals,” Todd wrote in the post.

“Unfortunately, incidents like what happened this week and the social media commentary following it can cause further division and set us back from progress we are trying to make as a community.”

The chief arranged the meeting between Hensley and two of the three Somali-American women, sisters Sarah and Leyla Hassan.

He said the women all “expressed their sincere regrets, apologies and most importantly -- forgiveness to each other. This process has also allowed them to gain understanding and respect for each other.”

Note that Hensley is a) named (so gets the attention -- and a lot of support from Les Deplorables) and b) she's the one doing the clutch. The other two women are not participating, they're just standing there, smiling uncomfortably, waiting for it to be over.
