and possibly from the drink I had an hour ago. I am one of the millions that you hear about and I have been fighting so hard for 6 months to keep the ACA with improvements.
Sniff, sniff...sigh, sigh...what a relief! I can finally breath.

(3,077 posts)This is beautiful and powerful. The activism works. The calls, letters, emails, tweets and protests work. This is a unity of voices for the common good. The people prevail.

(1,408 posts)My wife and I are both covered by aspects of Obamacare so that we only have to pay a little for prescriptions.
In the past 5 yrs. I've racked up over $350,000 in med bills and I'm not done yet. We've been holding off getting me into a nursing home until waiting to see what was going to happen.
My put off calling a doctor after her old one moved away. She'll call for a new one now.
It truly is a great relief.
Take care.

(51,582 posts)When my insur premiums alone (without out of pocket costs, co pays, Rx, etc) amd with subsidies is 25% of my income....that is a really big problem and I want it corrected and will keep fighting for that. Hold both parties accountable!

(9,888 posts)but isn't repealing ACA declared dead about once a week, only to come up for another vote the following week? This just never seems to end.

Older but wiser!

(491 posts)Any other bill would require 60 votes. You only get 1 bite at the budget reconciliation apple per fiscal year.

(11,949 posts)And the Cadillac provision actually increased my cost no small amount.
And I am joyful today.
I pray that this is when it becomes apparent most Americans consider health care a right.

Very reasonable cost.
Total coverage.

(12,645 posts)Hopefully we'll only have to wait until Jan 2019 before we can actually fix the parts of the ACA that were f***'ed up by Rubio, Lieberman, et all.
Working on it as should have been done over the past 7 years, rather than yelling "Repeal".

(23,336 posts)I am one of those not personally involved in the ACA and exchanges. My age puts me in the Medicare arena, not bad, but could also use some tweaking.
I only hope we can move toward single-payer or medicare-for-all.
Keep breathing. It's good for you.

(38,309 posts)Obama pulled their asses out of the fire.
It's some kind of stupid not to recognize that.
Unfortunately many or our house and senate representatives are that kind of stupid.
They are going to be shocked when big money health swats them down like flies.
The Koch bros and others of their ilk are not the big fish in this pond.
