please read Nance Gregg's latest (a little after yours) on today's DU. It's a scathing takedown of Pence.

Watching it all unfold was surreal, they had Pence motorcade driving thru DC at midnight flashers blazing. Then Pence wrangles with McCain for half an hour, leaves to call Donald, comes back to talk to McCain again. Rpub Senators surround Collins, Mukowski McCain twisting arms.

And right at the end almost the last to vote after the 2 GOP women had already voted no, McCain gets up from his desk, walks to the well of the Senate, looks Mitch McConnell in the eye, and gives a thumbs down.

It was maybe the damndest thing Ive ever seen in politics. I dont say that lightly.

Hell of a thing to watch and hear, And yes, Pence was there to cast his tie breaking vote. IMO the republicans didn't see this coming.

They Repubs were sure they had it, and had Pence rush in to seal it.

Last night ended Obamacare repeal.

He flew in and didn't get to cast a vote because Republican leadership can't get their votes together. There's a reason John Boehner was whistling when he stepped down as Speaker of the House.
