Even GOP Senators realize that Trump could care less about the content of legislation he wishes to sign. His incurious nature, social ineptness, laziness, and inability to focus are liabilities that render him ineffective. Undecided legislators are not likely to be won over by a so-called leader who is ignorant beyond belief when it comes to policy matters. Ironically, this Trump characteristic is arguably his "best" since it is self-defeating and precludes advancing a regressive agenda that ordinarily would be a piece of cake for a political party that occupies the White House and controls both house of Congress.
