What's with this Trump infatuation with slicing/dicing victims speech?

Against my better judgment, I had to listen to Trump in this speech (presently going on) somewhere in New York. Brentwood? I came in about the time he was talking about the wonderful police force and then working his way into gangs/immigration and torture. It was as though he was relishing each descriptive phrase of how criminals were torturing children by chopping them up with machetes a little at a time to watch them suffer as they died. He seems to savor that subject.

Is torture his fantasy? How he gets his jollies? I never listen to his speeches, so is this something new or has he been talking about torture and killing like this all along?
