I see conflict in Kelly's future.

The responsibilities of the chief of staff are both managerial and advisory and can include the following:

1.Select key White House staff and supervise them;
2.Structure the White House staff system;
3.Control the flow of people into the Oval Office;
4.Manage the flow of information;
5.Protect the interests of the president;
6.Negotiate with Congress, other members of the executive branch, and extra-governmental political groups to implement the president's agenda; and
7.Advise the president on various issues, including telling the president what he does not want to hear.

* he won't be able to do any of these things.

Because Trump thinks that, as a military General, Kelly will be more likely to follow his orders to the letter. I think this will backfire quite badly because, given Kelly's history, he will not put up with the White House bullshit.

Trump in his business and Kelly in the military.

Now they will be up against resistance with each other. Trump will not allow Kelly to order Trump to do anything he doesn't want to do. Kelly - even though he reports to the (in military terms) the Commander In Chief - has been hired to control Trump.

Trump had his way with Priebus. Priebus was outmatched from the get go.

Trump might meet his match with Kelly - but the conflict that will ensue - will be the demise to one or both of them. Just my humble opinion.

in the wee hours of the morning. Kelly will wake up to some crap Trump posted then he has to damage control. Kelly will find himself as the Cheif-of- cleaning up Trump rants and this will frustrate him.

Kelly has already behaved like cheeto's good little soldier. Google what Kelly said about the "Obama wiretapping" BS for example. He has stood up for cheeto a few times.

Don't you think Bannon, Miller et al would have objected to Kelly's appointment if they remotely thought Kelly wouldn't be an asset?
With all the excrement going on, why would Kelly even consider being part of cheeto's cabal if he disapproved of both cheeto and his cabal? He would've resigned his previous post a long time ago.

Especially the part about telling the president what he does not want to hear. Priebus wasn't empowered to do that, and I doubt if that weaselly man would have even if he had been empowered. Kelly will try, Dump would throw a a tantrum and fire him.

That little fetish might last a short while, until the attention wears off and DRUMPF goes into a teenaged rebellious stage.
