Even people like Jason Chaffetz- whom denounced those comments and initially said that he was so appalled that he couldn't vote for Trump and look his daughter in the eyes- later changed his tune (and probably voted for Trump). And apparently there were still plenty of people out there whom felt that Hillary's private e-mail server was more of a moral atrocity than any of the numerous awful things Trump has done and said in his entire lifetime. Republicans will find PLENTY of ways to justify the contents of the pee tape if it is real and is ever released to the public.
