Kasich: "When I get to the pearly gates-Im going to have an answer for what Ive done for the poor"

Awesome exchange between Randy Kendrick and John Kasich last year at a Koch retreat over Medicaid expansion for low-income Americans

Kasich: "I don't know about you lady, but when I get to the pearly gates,
Iím going to have an answer for what Iíve done for the poor.Ē

1. Sorry but he can go stuff it

Sanctimonious hypocrite came to Jesus a bit late in the game

John Kasich Was Against Poor People Before He Was for Them

The GOP hopefulís campaign promises sure donít line up with his Ohio tax policies.

11. He got disinvited from the Koch conferences

So while I don't agree with him on everything, this was a principled stand and I applaud him for that stand.

And the Koches need to be disinvited from America. If they want to destroy the govt to give themselves tax cuts and higher profits, they should take themselves to another country. Their values dont align with American values.

17. Read "Dark Money" and "Democracy in Chains"

If you Pick one: the latter

https://www.kirkusreviews.com/features/nancy-maclean/

This book is more important than Bill Browder's testimony/book, which is why it's being attacked as much as "Dark Money "

At the center of MacLeanís book is Nobel Prize-winning economist James McGill Buchanan, who died in 2013 at age 93. Largely bankrolled by Charles Koch and other deep-pocketed misanthropic libertarians throughout most of his career from the mid-1950s onward, Buchanan latched onto public choice theory to become its leading promoter. Buchanan assumed self-interest primarily motivated politicians, bureaucrats, union organizers, civil rights activists, and others, MacLean says. He cast public service in a deeply cynical light and denigrated the idea of ďwe the peopleĒ and the common good.. Where the common good leads, Buchanan thought, is to an out-of-control government that destroys individual liberty.

The movementís ultimate goal is capitalism free from government interference, and a government essentially stripped to maintaining law and order and national defense. Its adherents want to privatize most public services, especially public schools and Social Security. They have adopted the language of conservatism, and have successfully hijacked the Republican Party in the process, but they are not conservative in the traditional sense. Most people would not support the movementís extreme libertarian vision if its adherents didnít couch it in appeals to a benign personal freedom.

22. I live in Ohio. I have a grudging respect for Kasich. I would not vote for him ever...

and he has been bad on education. But he expanded Medicaid and saved thousands of lives and some of our hospitals which were in danger of closing. He vetoed the heartbeat bill too despite being anti-choice. He said it violated the constitution. He is a Republican so I cannot say he is a great governor or even a good one. He trashed wind for the Koch's which cost jobs. I am a progressive, and I hold very different views. But Kasich acted in a way that reflected his Catholic faith in terms of Medicaid.

7. Was gonna do my reply with that, exactly

He was one of the Clinton impeachment mobsters , yes?

If he were real, he'd get behind exposing the Ohio vote fraud/suppression, going back at least as far as 2004

Start with ken Blackwell, who's on that phony Kobach commission

23. I'm surprised that a Republican believes that

God, Jesus, want us to help the poor. Most of the Rs buy into this shameful prosperity gospel.
