We know the attacks are going to come, no matter who is running. You'd think 2016 would have been enough of a wake up call to squelch some of this nonsense, but some folks aren't content unless they can create as much disruption and chaos as possible. Honestly, I think that's far more of the motivation behind some of these attacks than any "purity" or "litmus test".

Democratic voters shouldn't have any opinions about what policies our party leadership supports. We should just take any young, good looking person, no matter how many Wall Street/global corporate policies they have supported, and we should do so in the name of unity!

I'm not sure how you got any of that from what I said, other than the fact you seem to want to make a point. I think healthy discussions and debates about candidates are good and can be had without tearing down a candidate completely. If that makes me sheeple, then so be it!

6. Are you saying Kamala Harris and Corey Booker are merely young and good looking- but are sellouts ?

It sounds like you have some serious bias against accomplished and popular Dems... why would that be?
What the heck are you trying to say?

I think the strong push for Harris and Booker for 2020 by some people has much more to do with their image than actual accomplishments. Notice people championing Booker and Harris never actually bring up accomplishments. To be fair to Harris, she is new to the Senate and has some time to prove herself. Anyways, I don't hate either of them, but neither are on the top of my list. Maybe the person you are responding to and I just have differences of opinion with you. Why would he have "some serious bias against accomplished and popular dems"? I seriously can't tell what you are trying to imply there.

I think they're both had pretty good careers.... but I'm not hear to educate people who already have their minds made up they know better.

It's notable that some need to belittle any Dem who gets much press. It's a thing.

I see how it appears to some people that any Dem that gets press gets belittled, but I don't think that's what is really going on. I think progressive people are attacking Democrats that they are suspicious of. As in, they don't think Harris and Booker are real progressives. Notice that Al Franken had a ton of press recently and there was virtually no "belittling" to be found. That's because Franken is just someone that the progressive/"Bernie Bro" crowd seems to like and trust. I think people here are being a bit too paranoid. Adam Schiff was getting a lot of attention for a while and I don't remember that crowd "attacking" or "belittling" him. Elizabeth Warren has been one of the most popular and well known Democrats for a while and they haven't been attacking her. (Though some Bernie supporters were attacking her way back in the primaries when she didn't endorse Bernie.)

People are posting all kinds of stupid shit like the stuff about what's his face working at Baine capital when they don't even know what the job is. It's an honorable job yet we see this knee jerk bulshit because Obama likes him? You realize the GOP is seeding these clouds of hatred- don't you? When you see the same crap coming out of RW and Alt lefty mouths you know you've got something special going on. I caught it last year when some fools I knew were quoting Wikileaks like the Bible, and suddenly sharing RT and then RW garbage. It's the same shit no matter who the person spreading it claims to be.

We need to be unafraid to point out where those attacks are coming from, especially if they are coming from the left.
