4. The wall stuff plays to his base, plus he can beat up the press for printing

and he is always the victim of the 'leakers."

He has a long history of doing his own PR pretending to be other people on the phone.

He set up the MEdia and he loves it.

There is nothing that damaging in the transcripts.

The Post went to the White House, and the White House told them to go for it.

He flat out admits that he's been bullshitting his idiot thralls about the wall and that he desperately needs the President of Mexico to at least pretend to go along with it.

He's literally begging. The President of Mexico.

Trump is an imbecile, but he likes to think he projects strength. That conversation shows his weakness and the emptiness of his words- to all but the willfully blind. He wouldn't risk leaking this, Imo.

To them it may look entirely different, like a negotiator, a dealer, a player. Who knows. Plus it is just enough to make it look like he is a victim- a role that he relishes.

Another distraction ?

The problem I have is that it makes him look weak and vulnerable to everyone else. And he does care about the MSM's opinion of him, hugely. But, hey, Trump is an imbecile who constantly acts against his own best interest.

The Post took the story to the White House and staff reportedly shrugged it off.

7. I think people within our allies have been leaking info to the media and in this case both the Govts

...of Mexico and Australia gave this info to the Washington Post....

I think our allies and any thinking person can see that Trump is very very dangerous and unstable and the only way for it to be communicated is for people to see this kind of information along with the daily barrage of bizarre behaviour from this White House.

I sincerely believe this is authentic... If it was false, the White House would immediately refute it and release the actual transcript....but they won't because it is accurate and that wouldn't look good.

They have every reason to show that it's false and be able to scream "fake news"....so why aren't they?

This may not legally be defined as treason, but it's treason nevertheless, in the highest office in the land.

John Kerry, the "hero" of the story, was PISSED, and confronted him on Nightline

See "Outlaw Bank" by the guy who covered it for Time

Note that all the high up pubs, from
Nixon to Reagan to Bush to Weinberger to Bush to Cheney to Rove All got away with everything

Special prosecutors mean nothing to them

That said, I hope he persists, and wins so much we get tired of winning!

BCCI was no where as big as a story as this. It got little play where I lived. If you weren't looking
for it you missed it. The public was not keyed in the way the are to this. Everyone knows that this impacts the president. Not so evident with BCCI.
Giving away your country to a foreign power is a different dynamic as well.

People, prosecutors, investigators,IC will not allow this to be covered up. I think Mueller is aware of this.

I do understand your concerns, but I'm not worried.

the biggest bank failure ever, at the time, and the effects were incredibly damaging/far reaching, including allowing the rise of bin Laden

Remember James Bath?

Tip of the iceberg, including bin Laden's brother
