Joe Scarborough: Jared and Ivanka: Move back to N.Y.

In this morning's Washington Post, Joe S. writes about the ridiculous presence of Jared and Ivanka in the West Wing. The Trump children had previously enjoyed a reputation in New York as having their act together. But now we know differently.

The microscope of public life in Washington has betrayed this crew for who they really are: Entitled and spoiled, and out of their depth.

He goes after Jared's hubris and arrogance in believing that he could actually broker peace in the Middle East. Ivanka, he writes, has now betrayed her sense of entitlement, a charitable way of calling her a spoiled brat.

Scarborough said what we all already know. These two fakers have no right to be in the West Wing, they have no right to their security clearances, they are no know-nothings who should go back to their privileged life in N.Y. where they belong.

They are like the Sopranos, in like season 4 or so, where a neighbor who owned a sporting good store got into debt with Tony over gambling, and he of course ended up having to give the store to Tony, and there is a scene where he is in his office at night with the crew totally pillaging the store, open up boxes, breaking things, trying things on, as he is going out of business.

That is what they are doing to the US.

is putting together. trump could pardon for crimes at the federal level. But he can't do it for a crime at the state level.

And as I understand it, even if there's a pardon issued, the recipient can still be compelled to testify and can't take the 5th. They'd simply have to cough it all up. Which would be rather problematic, I suspect. Especially for the pardoner.
