1. I get that feeling when I see the crowds reacting to his speeches at his 3rd Reich rallies.

Also, when I attended my 8th March (for impeachment) there were neo Nazi there called the Proud Boys who came down to San Diego from LA to incite violence. They were pretty good at it too. I am a 5'1" pacifist and I felt like punching someone myself they were so insulting.

I don't trust myself. Sometimes I think that sounds too much like a cop out, but it really isn't.

4. Part of the problem was that the cops who were there did NOTHING

when they disrupted the guest speakers with their sirens on their megaphone horns. Finally a guest speaker who was an assembly person called the chief of police and the cops eventually separated them as they had done at a different rally. I walk past them with my American flag shirt on and make the "peace sign" with my fingers and smile. That pisses them off since it is the opposite reaction than they expect and they think they own the right to carry or wear the flag.

The idea being that sanctioned (by law enforcement) parades (marches) are in no way protests, and that protests are the only way to effect change. I am staying in Berkeley for 10 nights in September and hope to actually learn more about this.

2. You mean like we had in the sixties. Only it wasn't political then it was racial.

We had high schools were riots broke out. White teenagers fighting Black teens.

Then we had the anti war fights. 3 kids got killed at Kent State.

We had a police riot at the 1968 Democratic convention

Not to forget the civil rights brutality like Selma and the three little girls who died in Atlanta in a bombing.

Yes we had some violence back in the day

EVERY time there is a discussion where it is "they do this" or "those people" it promotes division, and he thrives on it. You can hide from it or you can stare it down. I've been on strike lines, public actions, and at protest marches all my adult life. Some rotting mango in a lousy toupee with a tribe of mouth breathing sycophants is not going to change that. I'll continue to stare it down as long as I'm able.

You cant have as much hatred, racism, and ignorance as exists within the Republican party, and 60 million people, without having something truly awful happen. And the hatred is growing, not subsiding.
