(34,165 posts)President Obama is an infinitely better man than that sorry orange gasbag currently infesting the White House could ever hope to be. He's better than all of them--Ryan, McConnell, etc. etc.etc. They're trying mightily to erase his legacy, but they are failing and will continue to fail. President Obama is one of The Greats; MConnell, et. al, are small, tiny little men and always will be.

I remember all to well what he walked into after the Bush regime. We were headed for a great Depression an no one seems to remember that.
Thank you, bluestarone.

(11,686 posts)in some very small sense I have lived it because I saw and heard those who are close to me and family who had and there is an emotional twist to the ones who lived through it and it is painful to see them not being able to move on. They seem to have mistrust and paranoia to some level or another. I fear that we are going to be experiencing the same but it will not be a depression it will simply be a calculated decline of the common people by the ultra rich.

(63,221 posts)The man was nearly a saint. He was the best President in my lifetime - maybe of all - and now we have to put up with the absolute worst. It's just sad.
