...and outlawed in the EU. Give the special interest lobbyists THE BOOT in D.C. and see the will of every politician's constituents again return to front and center.

out in an interview that the rise of TV political ads in the 1970s had an enormously corrupting effect because suddenly politicians who wanted to keep their jobs HAD to have the money to purchase half-minute blocks of time, and lots of them. Welcome to DU, Amsterdammer.

represent Donors now and not us. We do not investigate the Quid Pro Quo's that occur daily and that are still illegal. Why else would Congress be pushing a health care bill that only has 12% approval, 4 times? This is the root cause of most of our countries problems. Our media openly discuss the Koch brothers and their influence. ALEC and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce write our legislation. The Chamber and other billionaires control who has the money to run for office, meaning who we have to pick from when we vote, and somehow that is ok!

Unless we demand in force to get the money out of our politics soon we will all be totally at the mercy of the rich and powerful. In that vein ALEC has proposed legislation that will allow state politicians to vote on our Senators, not us!

Citizens United was the worst thing to ever happen to our country, considering all the damage that's happened since that ruling. It made it possible for all the other bad things we're dealing with now. At least 90% in the GOP but I'll admit that it's happening somewhat in the Democratic Party as well. We have to purge both parties of the influences of big capital/big money.
