Maybe we should work on 2018 before arguing about 2020??

Cause if we don't take back at least the House in 2018, we may not even have an election in 2020.
Register voters, work on getting out the vote, work, work, work for 2018. We MUST win!

Is it simply too difficult for an undisciplined mind to concentrate on more than one concern simultaneously, or is that merely an excuse to respond with a bumper-sticker in place of substance?

One of the rules was that you could have just one category. I spent a great deal of time benchmarking things that made people successful in the group. It turned out that people who focused on one thing did well, and people who could not focus on one thing did poorly. Actually, having a competitor in the group marketing a slightly different product or service made both people more successful.

My research on marketing confirmed that. Sure you can market more than one thing. But you can't do that successfully.

And no amount of persuasion on my part could convince people who didn't understand this fact that they could do whatever product or service they wanted to do, but marketing that single product or service was their key to success.

Yes, "part of the problem not the solution" is a cliche. But unlike the "walk and chew gum" cliche, I think the one I used isn't tired. It's true.

Just fucking vote left.... look if the candidate is far left or left, anything is better then the right. We need to be at least on the same fucking page. I am growing tired of hearing this parties inner fighting and bickering, lets get at least democrats in office, then work things out, because its simple....NO DEMOCRATS NO LEFT REPRESENTATION

I am way more interested in replacing Darrell Issa locally than arguing/defending or anointing any 2020 presidential candidate. And the rancor generated from these 2020 discussions I find counterproductive, in fact, repulsive.

Can't Democrats please focus on winning 2018 first?

why no other "third party" makes any headway in this country. They almost never run candidates for local or state offices, just every four years gear up to run someone for President. Which is too bad, because if they'd start with the local elections they'd stand a chance of building a real base.

And no, I'm not advocating that anyone here switch allegiance to one of those parties. Me, I'm a confirmed Democrat and have been my entire life. But a too narrow focus on only one office doesn't benefit us.
