Where psy ops is concerned

Don't let yourself be ratf*cked. I appreciate your skepticism, but I am not going to allow it to make me toss people under the bus who are often proven correct even after they are dismissed out of hand on DU. Over and over people tell me not to listen to voices like Taylor or Palmer even when they have a track record of being right about hunches, insider leaks, etc. They may not filter or verify every detail they put out there, but they do have their ear to chatter coming to them from a variety of sources. The CIA and FBI filter that kind of info every day. They don't just say, that person isn't worth listening to. It is a fatal mistake to fall into such an easy analysis of info. It is what protects Trump from his own lies every day in the media. Not enough critical thinking on the part of we the people.

I would call these sources worth listening to if they were feeding me info on office politics. I might take their words with a grain of salt, but I would never dismiss them out of hand, anymore than I would totally discredit your advice. And I really have NO idea what insider knowledge you might have, what expertise, etc. I just listen, classify and catalogue the scuttlebutt.

I have a list of known liars I wouldn't ever trust no matter what they said. All the Trump camp is in this category; in fact I would be inclined to believe the exact opposite of anything they say.

Now about the shaky sources. If they have insight beyond my own, I evaluate it carefully. If they are being attacked or set up by known liars, I begin to wonder whether they have stumbled on truths the other side doesn't wish to be revealed.

I left DUs echo chamber this year looking for new sources of information, and I have discovered from doing Twitter that what the journalists say on the job often deviates from their real views. Guess which views I give more credibility? I am keeping my ear to the ground. And that's the best we as citizens can do.

In the past two weeks, I have seen the arrival of thousands of paid Trump bots on Twitter ready to praise every dribble of drool emanating from his whistle ass. Even Trump got catfished by one of his own bots. So I know we have to be vigilant. I am trying to keep my eyes open. I am setting aside politics for the sake of country. It is all about the threat from the dishonorable Trump GOP. The Trump Twitter White House. The Trump Oligarchy. The Kremlin White House. The nasty stuff they are up to. They are threatening people. Psy oping them is what we should be doing. They are the ratfuckers.

I am connecting the webs of lies I have been told for decades. Putting it all together. Some could call it creative speculation. Others call it an investigation of the known facts. Critical thinking. Better to run up a few blind leads and alleys than miss crucial info. Don't let the paid bots, people with agendas antithetical to yours sidetrack you from finding the truth. Be like Mueller. Quietly investigate their words. Know who your friends are. Have their backs even when they screw up. Don't accidentally work for the other side.

If you want to fight, go on Twitter and expose Trump bots. They have been created by the 1000s to influence public opinion. We need to be as singleminded as Putin's keyboard warriors in taking them down. Ratf*ck them. Or risk being seen as one of them.

End of rant.

Thanks for listening to me.

Discrediting people like Barack Obama, Michael Moore, Hillary Clinton, Rosie O'Donnell is a cottage industry for them.

Mensch, Taylor and Palmer seem to be in their sights now.

I will start: Kellyanne, Trump, Lewandowski, Pence, Bannon, Breitbart, Miller, Huckabee, Ryan, McConnell, et al. have lied every single time they opened their mouths. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

What evidence do you have that the anti-Trump side has outright lied?

And it wasn't Taylor for crying out loud.

He was targeted. Why target someone? Because he is to close to inconvenient truths?

We are all under attack. We need to keep our heads. Going after Mensch, Taylor and Palmer is a red herring.

When one can't believe the official version of events then all they can do is attempt to figure out what is happening. Like scientists we look at the evidence available and make what we can of it.

The FBI and CIA use questionable sources as informants all the time. Honestly. You listen to all the voices. Trying to shut up the ones on our side sounds suspicious to me.

Again, where is the list of lies anyone on our side has told. Waiting anxiously to hear.

And no one in power wanted us to question that fact. Science is all about speculation and hypotheses, experimentation and drawing a conclusion based on observation. At least they try and figure things out. They do not just dismiss something out of hand without examining it and insist no one ever listen to anything someone ever again says because they lack credibility.

My father was born before the Wright Brothers' first flight. He recalled a world where everyone called people who wanted to fly cranks living in a world of fantasy. He told me that anyone seriously suggesting the idea of landing a man on the moon at the turn of the century would have made everyone else question their sanity. Jules Verne believed the things he wrote about would come to pass. And he was right.

Does not fit the Democratic Party well. Intelligent rational people do better with reality and truth. Let the Republicans muddy the waters; that's their MO, let's not make it ours. We have enough truth to keep chipping away at them without speculating or making things up.

Did you read the Daily Kos article?

You asked for examples and there they are.

That's why I like people who cite facts (Daily Kos Article with citations and specifics) rather than an army of unverified anonymous sources (like Taylor).

We'll agree to disagree, but I find the innuendos of "alternative motives" ascribed to anyone who doesn't like Taylor's B.S. to be offensive.

Good day.

and a righteous rant!

While I have never followed Taylor, Mensch or Palmer, I do sometimes read the threads here that concern their various revelations and the spirited push-back within those threads to anything and everything those three have to say has often made me wonder, why?

Back in the old days of this site, our community was chuck full of critical thinkers, speculators, both professional and amateur investigators, and many many people who were just full of wonder after witnessing what had occurred during the Election of 2000...all ready to discuss, dig, dissect, disseminate, and devise a plan to resist. That one awful event is what pulled us all together, right here, soon after the shrub was inaugurated in 2001, to get to the bottom of how things could have gone so wrong and muster all of our forces in the fight to stymie and stop the steamrolling right-wing machine.

You've said a mouthful with your OP and I'm responding simply to say, "I hear you".
