A chilling thought regarding the threat from North Korea --

Given the current occupant of the Oval Office, the United States lacks the moral credibility to avoid a bloody confrontation.

We need real diplomacy, and neither Trump nor Tillerson are capable of it.

Damn.

The congress isn't worried about what he thinks. People give interviews and don't care what he thinks of their opinions. His cabinet is working around him or in spite of him, trying to do their jobs. The Judicial branch rules against him.

He's weak and irrelevant and so easy to manipulate and distract. Like a little child. Even if he gets mad and decides to do something, he will need the help of those around him because he's so ignorant, and they can add their influence and hopefully mitigate the outcome. As long as he's tweeting, he thinks he's getting something done. Like a child with a toy. He only wants media attention--that's really all he wants. Me, Me, Meeee!!!

It's like we don't have a President. We have a place-holder. It will strengthen other branches of government and diminish the power and reverence we've had for the office. Maybe that's a good thing--maybe the three branches will become more co-equal.

9. I would assume so, and by the same token, I would assume that the U.S. generals would also not be so

The world has been pretty challenge free for this Administration up to this point, mainly because Obama left the world a much better place and strengthened our relationships across the board.

Now Trump faces a real test with no easy options. He'll probably go crying to China soon. This will be a failure of huge proportions and the consequences will be terrible.

Here's where we need strong, calm, and mature leadership. There are no easy solutions I can think of. North Korea cannot be allowed to fix a warhead to one of their missiles, but the US lacks the moral authority to successfully diffuse the situation. This is the worst case scenario.
