Future News: Claude Taylor Awarded Pulitzer Prize for Citizen Journalism

TrueFactsStated and Claude Taylor Awarded Pulitzer

It will be announced soon that the very first Pulitzer Prize for Citizen Journalism will go to Claude Taylor and his @TrueFactsStated Twitter feed. This prestigious award will be made based on his possibly getting one story right in the past six months, despite all of the naysayers and ridicule he has faced during that period. A spokesperson for the Pulitzer board said, "Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. The fact that this citizen journalist actually got anything at all right at all demonstrates the awesome power citizen journalism has developed recently. We look forward to seeing another correct story from this Twitter account in the near future."

caused by internet newsters, the 27/7 infotainment industry, the rise of punditry rather than reporting, and the adoption of standard narratives at formerly trusted newspapers of record has harmed our democracy in incalculable ways.

I check in everyday with Bob Somerby's Daily Howler. He's a liberal critic of the liberal media whose specialty is deconstructing the standard script and calling out sloppy, lazy, and superficial reporting and analysis by "media stars" on our side and the unintended consequences that that ensue.

Turns out that the "sealed indictment" story from May was off just a bit. Turns out it isn't a sealed indictment but Trump is having an affair. Almost the same thing

That's the rest of what Claude Taylor revealed via Twitter:

“Many members [of the] MSM and others seem to know or believe that Trump has a regular girlfriend in Florida that he sees at Mar-a-Lago. Is it true? I cannot say for certain-what I do know is many credible people believe it to be true-including lots of reporters. According to multiple sources I have on this-it’s an open secret in the White House and everyone seems like they’re in on it-except the public. Again, multiple sources are saying [Melania] is fully aware and not bothered. As I and others have tweeted-she was planning on leaving the marriage until Trump’s unexpected victory. Separate lives. End.”

Why not focus on the real enemy? Aren't there enough actual liars for you to aim your barbs at?

Not trying to be antagonistic, but we are chewing our cabbage so many times, we are missing the meaty bones in the corner.

Recall when Dan Rather was treated like dirt for his "wrong" reporting at the time? Do you still feel like forcing him to mea culpa every time he speaks out today?

What about all the media who bought the yellow cake story and rammed it down our throats? They lied so shamelessly they should have been sent to re-education camps. Many of them got Pulitzers. Should they be asked to make a public confession? What were their motives?

What are yours? What are mine? I am willing to state mine do not ever change. I seek to see rightwing lies exposed. I am suspicious of those who attack our side more than they attack the other side. Not saying you do this, but I see concerted efforts made to discredit our side with as much energy as is used to go after the real problem.
