Will North Korea actually launch 4 missiles to land 20 miles from Guam?

Isn't there a margin of error and possibility of one or more actually hitting the Island? Just listening to CNN and said decision would be made within minutes to calculate trajectory and attempt to shoot them down. Satellites would pick up heat signatures within seconds and response will have to be made immediately. Will North Korea actually do this? I can't believe this is happening. fuck.

i dont think Trump will wait for that. As soon as these missiles are in the air flying towards Guam, he will order a strike on north korea. It does not matter if these missiles carry a nuclear payload or whether they hit the island.

North Korea has a long history of bombastic threats. Usually the world gives them some money or food and they quiet down until they want more.

The best thing to do with North Korea is just ignore them.

... mindset is absolutely necessary to protect the safety of the people, who almost have a "Quiverfull-like" sense of persecution and righteousness as a race and the government is the Umbrella of Protection that keeps them safe from Satan (anyone other than them). The internal propaganda has to be real enough to match what is heard through illegal listening to South Korean and Chinese/Russian radio/TV, but does not match the English versions of DPRK media at all for constantly suggesting the menace of the outside world and giving Korea victories.

They accept aid without feeling any need for gratitude or reciprocation because nothing the colonizers and outside powers can do will ever made up for the oppression they suffered righteously, or even redeem the oppressors/factions like the US, China, Japan, and Russia's crimes against the pure Korean people. They and their leaders may make childish mistakes, but it's always out of innocence or naivety, where outsiders may occasionally do good deeds but always because they overcame their evil nature or had other motives than helping the Koreans. The childish behavior and thought is made endearing, even Un's obesity and fascination for fun toys isn't truly resented because he's the emblem of the childlike purity of Koreans.

But if the aid is stopped, the people will grow hungrier. They will have to make the people continue to value the military instead of resent it, and if we don't actually give them enough ammunition for fear (maybe Trump's words will actually keep things more stable), by Un doing something that says the investment in the military really is winning some major, provable victory.

Un probably feels the need to prove himself as as much of a Dear Leader as Dad and Granddad, too.

I really don't see this ending well. I actually see Un thinking he could negotiate for a ton of food aid not to attack Guam, then doing it anyway. Even deception isn't considered dishonorable when done to protect the eternal child victim Korean race.

"The Cleanest Race" is a freaky read, but I think they're right on in their examination of Korean psychology under the DPRK regime. Worth reading.

They make goofy threats all the time with no intention of carrying through with them. They could have attacked Japan or of course South Korea at any time for the past 30-50 years, and haven't done so, with good reason. This situation is no different except, of course, for the imbecile we have occupying the White House. But he's full of empty bombast too.

They know there will be a retaliatory strike on them, and they'll preemptively hit Seoul with a massive barrage of artillery fire.

If the missiles fly, count on a ground war.

It's open sea, nobody's turf. They're not interfering with anything or doing anything against treaties, so they're fine.

Now, if they land in US territorial waters there's an issue.

We track them to learn more about them, capability, similarity to other missiles from other countries, etc. Any that fall into the sea, we try to recover intact, you get the jist. Not that different than a sports team spying on other team practices.

Anything else and they have suicided for no reason. I am betting on KJU being dead before that.

Once those NK missiles go in the air, Trump has no option other than annihilation of NK military. If he does not and Guam gets hit, that represents a complete failure to protect American lives that makes Pearl Harbor+9/11 look like a popped pimple.

Why?.. Who knows if they are that ...accurate?.. This is the first we have heard of these long range missiles.
So they have missiles that go into the air. Who knows if they go that far, or go that far and will hit a 40 mile long island?...These missiles would have to go 2000 miles, and hit a target 40 miles long, maybe 20 miles wide..

If..............and If is a big word, If they could go that far, could they go that far and be accurate?...Who knows how accurate these are?..they take off, but that does not mean anything. Here is more..........

Has the U.S, China, or USSR, given help to N.Korea in developing these?...If not, then we don't know how far these things go, and how accurate they are...Just cause the N. Koreans say they can go, doesn't mean they can go that far...

One more....would China discourage or encourage N. Korea to fire these things?...Does China want a war that near its country?....What do you think?..I think this: China would do everything possible to discourage a war with the U.S.A. Everything that you can think of, plus more....and more...and more...

Guam is closer. And the path to Guam is over Japan, making shooting them down a different proposition than shooting them down over the Arctic or even Alaska.

And it failed in 3 of those attempts.

Prediction: If they launch four, maybe one or two will land with 100 miles if Guam. But Trump will likely see that as sufficient provocation for the war he needs.
