Obama Will Re-Emerge This Fall

Former President Obama “will re-emerge on the national scene this fall, though Democrats expect him to do so with caution,” The Hill reports.

“Aides will huddle with Obama in the coming weeks to plot out what shape the former president’s fall schedule will take. Advisers close to him say that while he will play an active role in helping his party rebuild, much of his work will be behind the scenes.”

“In recent months, Obama has played a larger behind the scenes role than was publicly known.”

He needs to join the other four living ex-Presidents and they need to start speaking out against 45 and the destruction he is doing to America. It would be unprecedented and it would greatly anger 45 and his cult. Still, we need such a united and bipartisan response from the five men most qualified to speak up here.

It needs to be America vs Tr*mp, not Obama vs Tr*mp (and certainly not Clinton vs Tr*mp)

Obama, both Bushes, Bill Clinton all spoke out against Tr*mp in 2016. No one listened.

All we heard in response was questions about HRC's emails and the Clintons' supposed self-serving foundation.

anyone associated with the old status quo is a convenient target for Tr*mp to fire up the GOP base. Even someone as popular as Obama.

if that's true no need to even provide it behind the scenes. My appreciation for those who are our wise and experienced dems obviously differs from yours and that's fine. Hopefully you would fully support them (vs tear them down) if one happened to win the party's nominee but isn't a "new" face. If so, that's all one can ask.

But voters don't care about wisdom and experience.

Barack Obama and Bill Clinton did not win the White House because voters perceived them to be wise and experienced. They brought other virtues to the table that caused voters to choose them.

If providing that wisdom and experience in public costs us votes, then it's anything but wisdom to provide it in public.

it has to be wisely handled--the Democratic party is still the party of Obama, but by 2018 it needs to be the party of a new generation of leaders. He needs to hand off the baton.

“Pundits are always going to overthink and overanalyze the pros and cons of having a former president on the campaign trail, but the truth is, there’s little downside. He has unique convening powers to draw a crowd, energize Democrats, make a closing argument, and then it is up to candidates to close the deal.”

But advisers to the former president acknowledge he also doesn’t want to be “a foil” — as one top ally put it — for President Trump and the Republican leadership.

Hopefully a certain other presidential nominee will figure this out.

President Obama was an intelligent and humble man that was why stupid Mitch hated him so much.
Geez that seemed so long ago and look at us now. We need to fight back hard.

to read this. We need a steady hand and sanity at the wheel. Not third party non-candidates and others who claim to be democrat whether candidate OR base....whether behind or in front his presence should calm down the sane and reasonable members of our base....he will bring new faces in and/or guide them into positions of responsibility in our Party to gain victory in 2018-and 2020 and possibly stop this intra-Party warfare now going on for the soul of true liberals and progressives who are getting tired of centrists TRYING to tell people how they should think and who to vote for in our Party.....all I can say is no thanks, voting for pseudo-democrats and 3rd party candidates won't be the way...and those very same people who helped the sock puppet toy potus of bannon become the disaster he is will be put on notice...loyalty to liberal and progressive thought, progress and victory is the only way this upcoming election cycle, otherwise "hit the road jack"....I think you know the rest.

YAY Obama!!!!
