stop growing fat on all the war porn being force fed to you! Reminds me of that virus panic a couple of years back when so many at DU got sucked in to the media created panic, not even believing the scientists anymore. No evidence they have even conducted an uranium test rather than just sending a wad of plutonium down a mineshaft into radioactive material. There is no miniaturizing that!
So. Please. Stop. It.

(115,280 posts)I'm not panicking; I'm just disgusted at the way Dolt 45 is handling the situation. You can't deny that his rhetoric is dangerous. And how do you know they don't have a warhead on a missile, and if they don't yet, how do you know that they won't some time soon?

(23,946 posts)think Kim could not announce miniaturization fast enough if he had. It is no small task to go from plutonium to uranium and then the uranium onto the tip of a missile.
Sure, you are not panicking but millions are convinced Kim has a nuclear missile than can reach continental America which is as pure as the pure bullshit of Niger yellowcake.

(5,614 posts)North Korea is playing brinksmanship, a game Trump seems unfamiliar with.
To me this is reminiscent of the Tonkin Gulf incident that LBJ used as justification for pumping up our disastrous involvement in VietNam. This game serves to distract us from the issue of corruption in the White House at a level we haven't seen since Grant was President.
The press should tone it down a couple of factors. The only real danger in this "conflict" is that Trump may make a really stupid move.

(23,946 posts)frightened. America and it's 600 billion dollar a year military nation is only frightened because the MSM War Media is misinforming and warmongering....yet again.

(38,365 posts)We need to calm down. China says that it will not help North Korea if North Korea attacks first..that means if North Korea attacks us, they are on their own..against the United States.
Now if Trump attacks them, then China will come to their aid...If Trump does not attack them,,,then the situation will remain the same as it has been for the last 60 years..
So...this statement by China...basically calms down the situation..if Trump can Shut The F**k Up and go back to his golf game..and not attack North Korea than we will return to whatever "normal" is for 2017..
The MSM needs some crisis because with a crisis more people pay attention to the MSM..and guess what?
THE MORE PEOPLE THAT WATCH, READ, AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE MSM.....THE MORE MONEY THE MSM MAKES AND PROFITS INCREASE !!!!!!

(23,946 posts)The daily national news broadcasts are a sickening mix of half-truths, manufactured panic and ridiculous human interest stories that are shamefully broadcast so time is NOT spent on actual real news. Sickening.

(37,748 posts)Two half-wits currently playing "whose is bigger?" one being the irrational and man-child leader of a nuclear ready state is certainly reason for absolute calm.
Of course we should most certainly instruct people merely discussing these concerns to "calm the fuck down..." as it lets us pretend we're doing something relevant and constructive

(3,660 posts)OMG!! This is what Obama wants!! He wants as many Americans to die as he can!! I kid you not, this is what she posted on a thread about NK.
Trump will save her.

(91,965 posts)the end of them. By a similar token the U.S. generals do not want to do a pre-emptive attack against NK, because of the potential disasterous consequences to that entire region.
While there is chance for a mistake to happen, I think the odds are low, and most likely this will end up a stalemate, or a third party will facilitate the US and NK back to the negotiating table
