If Paul Ryan would let impeachment come up for a vote, it might pass the House.

Since most Democrats would likely vote for impeachment, they would not need that many Republican votes to send it to the Senate.

But Paul Ryan holds the power in his hands. He is the one to decide whether or not there is a vote to impeach. Since he is polling very low in his home district, and there is a good chance that he will be defeated in his race next year, one might think he would try to do one good deed before he departs?

2. If I was Pelosi I would stage a mock impeachment vote

and say she and the Democratic Party did it just to gauge the level of impeachment support in the House for general principles. But that's just me, I'd be a prick and do this knowing I'd piss off the GOP hate machine, which is why I'd never be elected in the first place.
