Why is the Detroit Red Wings logo being used by these Nazis in Charlottesville?

I have seen it in some of the broadcast video, on a racist Cracker home made shield in this delightful gathering of geniuses.

Perhaps it's not an important issue, but I hardly think the Red Wings would approve of the use of their property in such hateful and racist exhibitions.

It is hurting my brain....

Is there some sort of significance?

I know that gangs have appropriated some sports logos in the past, but this is just weird.
