If I hear one more fucking pundit on MSNBC say

"both sides" one more fucking time I'll scream.

Here's something for our clueless media...one side is full of fucking hatred because of racism... the "other" side is opposed to that hatred.

Talking about "both sides" is how you have fucking normalized racist hatred.

In other words... your normalizing coverage over the past fucking decade have brought us here

In the article adapted from Rick Perlstein's titled: "How Political Lies Became the New Normal" this phenomena discussed.
Dating from the 1980's "There evolved a new media definition of civility that privileged "balance" over truth-telling-even when one side was lying."...Right-wing ideologues lie without challenge since the so-called "balanced networks frame their lies as just another he-said-she said controversy.

The other thing that I am sick of hearing is that both parties have moved to the extremes. Even Obama said that. IT IS NOT TRUE. The Republicans have moved so far to the right that they are hanging off the cliff, whereas the Democrats have also moved to the right and call it the "center." What is now called "the left" used to be the center before the DLC took over the party in the 1990s.

They wanted to believe that Trump was elected because his supporters needed jobs, or at least a great many of them did. They ignored what most of us always knew. It has always been the hatred and racism. Any one that says they voted for Rump because of jobs is lying. ALL OF THEM ARE LYING. And the DNC needs to start pushing this narrative and let the chips fall where they may. Expose these people, it's the only way out.

Once some Republicans says 10 things that are not true, they should not be allowed on any real news shows.

I said it before and I'll say it again...we all call our reps and senators about health care and social security, etc. etc. And it seems to get their attention. Now it's time to start calling the media offices and flooding them with complaints over their "both sides do it" reporting among other items. You all know the drill by now. I've been doing it for a number of months.

Maybe some Progressive sites can start a flood by getting their readers and followers to call MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS (fuck Fox!) and flood their switchboards with people upset over their fantasy reality reporting.

Imagine MSNBC getting a million calls complaining about Chuck Todd and his "everybody does it" 10 year old mentality!

Why do colleges broadcast their football games on stations that provide nothing but wingnut hate for the other 165 hours of the week?

Why is the most powerful hate radio station in overwhelmingly blue cities broadcasting nothing but wingnut hate?

I will tell you why. It's because they pay no price for their propaganda.

Yes,it's mind boggling that there is no People's organized media watchdog campaign against our biased media. Even after they so egregiously enabled Trump and the nationwide dominance of the Repug Party. Maybe it can start here on DU.

Find out you local news editors and contact them every time they feature repug lies without confrontation, ignore our protests or our Reps, or give the "last word" to Repug liars.

I call our local stations all the time for repeating Repug bull shit at 5. It's gone by 11. So it works. But what surprises me is that the news editors always act surprised to hear my objections, indicating I'm like the only person calling. And I live in a County of millions of voters with a majority being Democrats.
