Pssssssssssssssst - keep an eye - could be a TD overnight

Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
800 PM EDT Sat Aug 12 2017

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad low pressure area
located about 250 miles northeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands
have become better organized during the past several hours, and
visible satellite images suggest a low-level circulation may be
forming. Environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive
for additional development, and a tropical depression is likely to
form tonight or Sunday while the system moves northwestward. The
low is forecast to turn northward, then northeastward away from the
United States early next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.

Sitting here in Lower Ala. with no hurricanes near enough to notice, is very weird.

Getting to August without a storm is good news but by no means are we out of the woods! The real deal comes along in the next 6 weeks or so. And even getting to October is no guarantee you can relax. Anyone remember Opal? Can't remember the year, but it almost screwed up a vacation to New England.

Lots and lots of Tropical Storms and one tornado through my back yard last year.

Maybe I should consider moving but with my luck, I will move to earthquake country.

I thought you were South Florida but you must be in the Caribbean.

Would it be too much of a stretch to guess Jamaica due to the avatar.
