(10,096 posts)Since they were so proud to be there and were freely photographed at a public event. Whatever consequences they face in terms of their employment status is their own fault. Besides, when they get some press for getting fired, they will have 20 job offers waiting for them, unfortunately.

(28,979 posts)Quite interesting to pull off the hoods and see the cowards for what they are. When evil hooded thugs think they are safe showing their stupid mugs in public, they make the DOJ's job easier.
Crossing state lines to incite a riot. Attacking citizens of Virginia. Using fighting words. Hate Crime. Anything less charge is an insult. And the stupid idiot in the WH and his Neo-Nazi staff, along with his nasty alt-right base are equally culpable. Lock them up!

(840 posts)In the end I have decided it is a good thing. They were there to incite hate and violence and should be exposed for their vile beliefs. Does it mean that other protesters will also be identified? Sure. But if your protesting for a noble cause, like the woman's march for example, would you care if you were exposed on Twitter? No. I expose my political beliefs on social media because I'm proud of them. If these guys aren't proud to be Nazi, well too bad don't go to a Nazi rally.

(50,949 posts)to make their beliefs public. That is why a person participates in a march. They WANTED to be photographed, otherwise they wouldn't have their little tikki torches and matching Radio Shack employee outfits.
They simply got what they wanted. It isn't our fault that they are so monumentally stupid that they didn't realize that people would hate what they were standing for.

But when we do it to Nazis we are harassing them and being vigilantes? Oh, hell no!

(6,324 posts)Most anti-mask laws in southern states were passed expressly so this kind of thing can happen- that when someone wants to march with a hate group they must show their faces so their community knows who they are. They were intended as anti-Klan laws.
This is just an extension of that same principle.
