Today's WH statement was only a "note to the pool" of reporters, not official statement on WH site

Tweet frosm Jim Acosta:

In note to WH pool, WH official says Trump condemns KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacists. (Not sure why WH official not on the record here)

So it not only wasn't a statement from Trump, or a statement attributed to any specific WH spokesperson, it hasn't shown up at WhiteHouse.gov, either, and won't.

This was merely an attempt to get the media and Trump critics to let up on him, without Trump having to say anything, let alone having condemnation of racists and nazis appear to be official WH policy.
