experience. I am about to go to my local event (vigil/protest) in San Diego. One out of 700 across the country.
Call your reps at their local offices and tell them that you expect them to DO something or forget getting elected in 2018.
RESIST! Peace.

Ours was filled with singers, speakers, a Dem congressman, and about 500 people. Indivisible and the Women'should March organizers had candles and there were signs. We pledged to call our reps in Congress and not let this be the end but a continuing practice to "Speak out loud and clear at all injustices before hate and violence happens anywhere to anyone in our country".

(801 posts)We're a pretty conservative southern town, but there are about 400 people at the local vigil. We even had a local Republican speak non-politically, expressing his desire for healing.

(7,515 posts)More than 150 for a candlelight vigil which I thought was good for a red city in a mostly red state.

It was low key, but nice. I'd say just over 200 people.
