The heroes of domestic terrorism.

Nobody, including Donald Trump, had any problem calling it "terrorism" when vehicles were driven into crowds in London and in France. Cars and trucks were used as weapons, as deadly as bombs.

Yet, they hesitate or refuse to call the attack with a vehicle in Charlottesville the same name - terrorism. But it is plainly "domestic terrorism". It was carried out by a neo-Nazi that just happened to be a Donald Trump supporter. Many were injured in the attack and one beautiful girl was killed. Heather Heyer should be remembered as a hero in standing up to hatred and racism.

This was an historical moment. Citizens stood up and confronted the racists and the neo-Nazis and the White Supremacists. They were heroes that stood eye to eye to the threats and dangers posed by the racists that were intent on violence. Many were injured in their battle against these ultra-right groups.

The President attempted to minimize the confrontation by blaming everyone involved. He was hesitant to criticize part of his base. It was as if a burglar broke into your home and broke your jaw with a pair of brass knuckles and you were able to find a broomstick in the corner with which to fight back. The moral equivalency simply does not exist.
