Marginally better.

(56,828 posts)it just seems highly inappropriate for the president of the United States to retweet a cartoon that has a cartoon CNN reporter getting run over by a train a few days after Heather Heyer got run over by a car driven by a Trump supporter.

(3,491 posts)Yes, Trump is encouraging the death of people in the media. He is trying to dehumanize them.
What doesn't make sense about this? He has encouraged violence against anyone he deems a threat.
Please note that when I imply that this makes sense I don't mean to say that it makes sense for normal, rational people to operate this way. I mean it makes sense in as much as we have seen this behavior from him all along. It makes sense to me that Trump would do this.

(816 posts)If her death came by an accident why is housing that. THAN I took a step back and realized it wasn't how she passed but that she was dead. And that was what he was encouraging. Sorry for being slow on the uptake.

(45,380 posts)He has often put out calls for violence so that someone out there somewhere will take it upon themselves to do it.
He leaves it deliberately ambiguous enough that it can't be traced back to him when it happens. He'll say he never met the person and never specifically said the words so it's not his fault.
During the campaign he often said "I will pay the legal fees" but of course he hasn't.
He has often asked his supporters to attack and beat up anyone who disagrees with him, so of course they did. Watch David Duke make excuses for the terrorist who ran people over killing the woman and wounding many more, and of course blaming them for being in the road. I don't want to link to it here.

(57 posts)It's a cartoon, for God's sake. And it's not encouraging the death of people in the media. It's not urging violence against CNN. It's a jab at the media not being able to stop the Trump Express. See, the man it trying to stop the train in the same way a guy might brace his back against the rear end of a car he's pushing up a hill to keep it from rolling back. The cartoonist is saying CNN isn't able to stop the train's progress and instead is being shoved down the tracks. It's a horrible cartoon on many levels, not the least of them the cartoonist's obvious unfamiliarity with railroad ties, which are somewhat more substantial than the boards he or she has depicted here. I'm all for ridiculing to the Liar in Chief's tantrums, but let's not make our responses as silly as his tweets.

The victim Heather Heyer who was crushed to death by his supporter has not even been buried yet and he's posting ѕhit like this, he could not care less about her grieving family, or friends, let alone the murder victim Heather Heyer herself
