I'm certainly not going to defend the confederacy and their traitorous secession from the United States, but I think you are comparing apples and oranges.

I just am saying that however misbegotten, the roots of the confederacy were deep, whereas Hitler was a disgruntled ex-prisoner who latched onto a movement.
I can think both were wicked and evil without making absolute comparisons. In fact, Germany as a unified country and concept post-dates the United States. I'm just saying, don't be so quick to compare two things that are (to my mind, which is why I said I respectfully disagree) very different beasts.
