The enemy within

What would we do if we were attacked by a foreign country intent on destroying our freedoms, our entire way of life and turning us into virtual, if not actual slaves?

Do I really need to ask that question? It’s a current reality. It’s an attack that has been underway for decades and is becoming ever more vicious, cruel, and in some cases deadly. And it’s not being conducted by some foreign enemy. It’s being conducted by the GOP, their owners, the ignorant fools who vote for them, and the MSM.

We are up to our ears in a second civil war in which our enemies are in full battle mode and we are not. It’s a war of ideas in which the only idea our enemies have is total domination over those of us who are still sane. And it’s a war we’re losing.

This is the point at which I’m supposed to suggest ways in which we can level the battlefield. But IMO, it’s a battlefield that can’t be leveled. I believe that we’re losing. And I also believe it will be a very long time before we see the decline of the Huns and the onset of a new renaissance.

Anyhow, that’s my view of our current reality. So go ahead and take your shots, call me a defeatist, a fool, and everything else you can come up with. But while doing so, please explain why you think I’m wrong and what we can do to turn the tide in our favor. And if it helps any, I hope I'm wrong.

And the reality of what you say is obvious if you open your eyes just a little.
The solution in my opinion is to fight back and not be intimidated by the bullies that have the stage and own the stage.
And more importantly not listen to those who are afraid of the bullies because they own the stage.

Sometimes doing the right thing may not be a winning strategy, but it's ALWAYS the right thing.

But by whatever means we choose to oppose them, I think we're in this battle with too little too late.

And I also think that far too many don't have a clue as to the current war and are willingly and unknowingly putting their heads into the noose.

Just as one example, imagine what it must have felt like to be black when lynchings went unpunished. If you think it's too late to fight back those days will return.

Nothing is ever set in stone. If we lose now and keep fighting their victory will be short.

If you need to then take some time out. Relax and do something you love doing. The war will still be here when you come back feeling renewed and ready to take it on again.

and to help make laws making it easier for them to possibly take the law into their own hands. One thing I see is a tactic to destabilize a citizenry by fostering hatred between citizens and arming one group while politically attacking the other. It's plain to see what is happening in the US.

thing is Cyrano, I don't believe what they are doing will ever be enough to take over. Too many are still unaware, but when they do become aware then we shall see.

11. Yes, and one way to fight is to speak to everyone you know,

every neighbor, everyone you can and talk about these issues. Then, convince as many people as you can to register and vote for Democrats in the November election. And I don't mean talking to people who are already convinced and who will certainly go to the polls. I"m talking about people who are apathetic or who believe that it doesn't make a difference. I'm talking about convincing them that issues that directly affect their lives and well-being are at stake, and that their vote is important. If everyone on this website and every person who is serious about politics did that one thing, we could not possibly lose nationwide, and we could gain enough legislative seats both in Congress and in state legislatures to tip the balance far enough to enable the change we all know is needed.

I know that's an old-fashioned opinion, but it is our best hope for this election, and beyond. No other individual action has as much impact. If everyone multiplies his or her individual vote by even a factor of two, we cannot lose.
