The sad truth is, there are still a LOT of people, millions of constituents who vehemently support Trump. They know if they turn on him, they'll be primaried out of office next year.

They won't turn on him until he's overwhelmingly unpopular. Most polls have him in the mid to upper 30s. I would guess that they stick with him until he hits the mid 20s.

You would think that the more moderate vote would cancel out or even out number the RWNJ vote. Besides, if his popularity continues on its downward trend or he does something truly, truly horrible, will voters not remember who kept him in office? I know I may be giving too much credit to these potential voters.
