We have always been on our own

We can never count on the GOP to save us from 45. It won't happen because the party,at its highest level, is driven strictly by the tax code. So the robber barons will never ever switch allegiance, even in the face of white supremacy. Watch the deals being cut because it is always about money with the GOP. Why did 45 attack Amazon and why did Walmart stay on 45's manufacturing counsel? Who is the biggest competition to Walmart?

Minority voters are not GOP voters so offending them is not really an issue. In fact, they counter minority voters by mechanisms such as voter id, purging voter ranks and cutting down immigration. Add the gerrymander to this strategy and you see how they are seeking permanent electoral power without minority voters.

Look at how much poison GOPers swallowed with 45. Today's best example is McConnell's wife standing loyally next to 45 as he backs the fine people in the neo nazis movement. Her boss just humiliated her husband. She smiled while a man backed neo nazis, many of whom would gladly push her out via blood and soil. If someone attacked my spouse, it would take me a nanosecond to tell them to F off. Think of how the late and great John Glenn handled pressure put on his wife. Money and power drive the GOP.

Don't count GOP officials abandoning 45. The seventh century Chinese empress Wu Zetian often had her ministers executed. A brave official asked how could she keep getting people to serve her if they faced certain death. She told the official to visit her in the imperial garden at night. He did and saw the Empress holding a torch. Moths kept coming to the torch and burning up. She understood that the flame of power always draws people even though they die (or metaphorically their careers die) -and so it is with Kelly or Mattis or Bannon.

The ONLY way to change this country is to fire the GOpers and elect Democratic candidates. Between the allure of power, the plot to dilute minority voters and the tax code changes promised, the GOP could care less about racism(there are exceptions but none in the heart of the party's power structure).

2018 must be a wave election so we can obtain investigative power by control of the house. The GOP will localize every election to avoid any 45 spillage and the Mercers, Kochs and others will fully fund the GOP. Yet ,at the end of the day, there are more of us and if we vote, even in the face of all of it, we can start the process of regaining the dignity of the Republic.

Either one stands against fascism or with them. No if ands or buts.
If someone that's the Dem party more than Nazis, they are fascists, ever bit the same as every other Trump enabler and apologist.

Now some people fucked up in 2016. They have a chance to remedy that, but only if they decide their fellow citizens mean more that their egos. The choice could not be clearer. Either stand against evil or be part of it.

The GOP is playing for keeps. Election irregularities are only going to get worse in the next four years. If they found someone worse than W, they will find someone worse than the Con. And repubs will vote for him - they've been so brainwashed by hate radio & Fox, that the dems are Satan incarnate. While the brunt of this clusterfuck is on the GOP, the dems dropped the ball, major. We shouldn't be in this position.
