It calls for A LOT more than a few random tweets. We should not be able to turn on the television without seeing one of OUR representatives castigating Trump. We should not be able to sign onto DU without seeing a DOZEN of these letters sent directly to Trump that rejects him and his rhetoric.

Fucking tweets aren't enough.

Here's the text of my email as it stands today after I read this post and added the part about Yarmuth. Feel free to cut and paste if you want to use it.

Dear (REP OR SEN NAME)

I am extremely disappointed in the Democratic response to the President's words about Nazis and white supremacists.

As I watched the presser with nausea rising, I assumed that in the days following I would not be able to turn on a news show without seeing a Democrat in the chair denouncing the President's words. I assumed that every one of my Representatives would write a personal letter to the President as Rep. Yarmuth has done showing his disgust at the support of Nazis. I expected that the response from Democrats would be deafening and constant.

Instead, I have seen a few tweets and a resolution for censure that Democrats have no chance of getting past Republicans. The response has been impotent and luke-warm, completely out of proportion to the dangerous and un-American sentiments spouted by that man.

I am heartbroken. Where are those who I voted to be my voice in my government? Where is the roar of dissent that support of Nazis MUST be met with?

I am watching your response and I hope for better.

Your very loyal constituent,
(My name.)

You would prefer silence? Tweets? A kabuki dance of a non-censorship that will never happen? Have fun with that.

distractions from Trump's support for Nazis and KKK style racists. I particularly have a problem with any distraction that seems to imply that Democrats are somehow supporting Trump in this. That is ridiculous.
BTW Congressional Democrat are calling for formal censure of Trump over this.

And from my posts you are saying I am implying that Democrats are supporting Trump?

That's got to be the dumbest shit I've ever read here.

However, it does little to have the media overwhelmed by Democrats opining on this. Many have long ago voiced their disgust over Trump's moral failings, and said he was unfit for office. The silence of the many GOP members is deafening and more noticeable when the Dems are not speaking. Just look at how it his is playing out in the media. The focus is square where it should be. Anything the Dems say would be a distraction.

Just a thought.

Seems this congressman is alone in his efforts to restore DECENCY to the WH. They are supposed to REPRESENT their constituents, not the KKK, skinheads, white suppremacists and RUSSIANS.

Here is the email I sent to my Representative.
To Representative Stefanik,
I read your remarks on the violence that occurred in Charlottesville this weekend. Thank you.
However, I find your silence on the remarks made by POTUS Trump disheartening. I find myself questioning your moral courage and where you really stand on issues.
You see from where I stand, by not denouncing what Donald Trump said, you are agreeing with him. You are agreeing with both sides were wrong. Since when is standing up to Nazis and White Supremacist wrong?
When will Trump cross the line that even you cannot tolerate? Do you even have a line? Does the Republican party?
You see, my line is the Nazi party and the KKK.
Where is your line?
Stand up now before it is too late. Remember country and people, not party first.
Sincerely,

Achilleaze

and wipe his behind with it, like he does with everything else. People, politicians have to accept that he is the #1 deplorable, and anyone who was blind to see that this would happen must make amendments with themselves, make a decision on what is more important to them, an skewed and corrupt ideology in cahoots with the Russians, the neo-Nazis, KKK, etc, or their country. For those who claim to be patriots, this is your chance to prove it and throw the madman and his cabinet out the window to start fixing what he has damaged in very little time in office, to start rebuilding a nation for all.

Politics is not a sport, you vote for those who will make life for everyone better, who will make decisions on behalf of the citizens and not a select few, who will protect what the true American soul is all about, inclusion, goodness, love, happiness, and a vision to the future that has been the envy of the rest of the World until now.

Recognize that although Trump has increased the laughter of the World towards the USA, this despise towards the country from the World has been going on for a while, and whether you like it or not, Republicans have been responsible for it, Trump is just the culmination of the dirty work that started many years ago.
