USA Today pleads with GOP to help censure Trump for refusing to denounce neo-Nazis

One of the most widely circulated newspapers in America has a new editorial demanding Republicans censure President Donald Trump. Wednesday’s USA Today directs Republicans to “put your votes where your tweets are.”

“Expressing disapproval in 140 characters or fewer is insufficient when the president angrily asserts that there were some ‘very fine people’ among the bigots waving Confederate battle flags and swastika banners,” USA Today explained.

The newspaper claimed “more formal condemnation is necessary” than the tweets GOP leaders have offered to-date.

“This is a moment of reckoning for members of the Party of Lincoln: Do they want to stand up for American values, or do they want to keep enabling a president whose understanding of right and wrong has slipped dangerously off the rails?” USA Today wondered. “If congressional Republicans choose the former — and history will be watching — they should join together with Democrats to censure Trump.”

1. Trump will NEVER...

[i Trump will NEVER cooperate with ANYONE he THINKS are "out to get him". He has a huge mental problem He was ALWAYS trying to win "Daddy's" approval. The old man was even "sicker" than the son. I believe his mama was overbearing. Donny never had a chance.

He needs psycological help, but it's much too late to help him. We the people need to come up with something to get him OFF the stage & put him out to pasture for HIS own sake and the country's sake.

2. I suspect this article will have more impact with the readership of USA Today

than any Republican politician. But that is a good and needful change in changing hearts and minds and raising awareness of a problem that many of our more lackadaisical citizenry are blissfully oblivious of.

Just like the inexorable change in public opinion that brought about a new acceptance of LGBTQ people, when these national publications rebuke Trump, their condemnation makes people start to think and ask critical questions.

3. The republicans are lying sacks of shit

Their words condemn Trump's vile racism but their non-actions support his views.

The KKK/nazis see this and know the party is playing the usual game to fool the news media and country in general.
