Pissed me off.
It seems the media are champing at the bit for things to get back to normal in never-changing DC. Pointed out that Kasich today spoke harshly about tRump but refused to break from him when all was said and done. Said all these Congressmen and Govs need the favors tRump can still hand out.
A frightening media pattern that emerged during the campaign has metastasized: no matter what tRump says or does, it never sticks because, well, he's tRump. He could kill someone, and he would get off scot free. Actions that would end any other career are only temporary distractions. The only thing that keeps the outrage going is some NEW outrage by tRump. If there was no weekly new outrage, tRump would be fully normalized within a month, with all previous outrages being a shrug of the shoulders.
Even with tRump now exposed as a racist for the whole world to see, it's like the media believes that they need to excuse it away because they know a new outrage is just days or hours away, and the last thing they want to do is stifle a new outrage about tRump by concentrating on last week's outrage.
